Susan Wood is a drawer whose practice has three strands, sound, line and colour. Through these she expresses the vibrancy of immediate experience and celebrates the routinely unnoticed. She is essentially a journeyer whose work emerges from a personal, intuitive engagement with her surroundings.

In the words of Henri Michaux in Drawing the Flow of Time she aims to ...draw the moments that little by little make up life, to let people see the phrase within, the phrase without words, a rope indefinitely unrolling, winding, accompanying in its intimacy all that comes in from the outside, and the inside, too.....the consciousness of existing and the flow of time.
